Roses and chocolates

February 2, 2011

Roses have had meaning since dinosaur times, probably. You’ve either got to be an idiot, or a caveman to not know the symbolism of red roses — the universal symbol of love, passion and romance. White roses is a symbol of purity and innocence. But I bet you didn’t know that red and white roses together symbolises unity. Well if you did, then *I’m* the idiot here, because I honestly didn’t know that till I googled it!

Chocolates then, are symbols of devotion, power, and, yes, love. Which explains why they are still popular gifts during Valentine’s Day.

So what could be better combination for cupcakes as a wedding gift, from the groom to the bride, than roses and chocolates?

Congratulations to the happy couple 🙂
